The “Miracle on the Hudson” with Jeff Skiles
Jeff Skiles is the acclaimed co-pilot of US Airways Flight 1549, known worldwide as “The Miracle on the Hudson.” On January 15, 2009, after a bird strike disabled both engines just minutes after takeoff with 155 people onboard, Skiles and Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger executed a controlled landing in the Hudson River and brought everyone home safely. A veteran pilot with more than 23 years at US Airways and over 20,000 hours in the air, Skiles shares a powerful firsthand perspective on leadership, preparation, and teamwork under extreme pressure.
